TEMA

Nedelja arhitekture

koordinator Ivan Kucina. Projekat čine tri izložbe: Savremena slovenačka arhitektura (kustos: Đorđe Stojanović), Savremena hrvatska arhitektura VII: trideset ostvarenih projekata nakon 2000. godine (kustos: Krunoslav Ivanišin) i Nova srpska arhitektura (kustos: Zoran Lazović). Ivan Rašković u svom predavanju Balkanski efekat: fascikla slučajeva kritički posmatra stanje na ovim prostorima definišući ga kroz šizofrene matrice, centre inercije i razlikovanje tradicije i inovacije.

THEME

The Architecture Week is becoming a manifestation with serious experience. This year it is held for the third time and is again having an international character. The content of the manifestation has been expanded compared to the previous year and conceptually expressed through a theme of the City River, with greater number of events compared to last year. This year, the concept of the manifestation also includes the field of town planning, which presents a program novelty and also a way to improve, innovate and expand the manifestation each year.

The content of this year’s Architecture Week may also be considered within
several thematic blocks which have been crystallized during the preparation of
the manifestation, as well as during material collecting and processing.
The pillar of one of the thematic blocks within the Architecture Week is a project
entitled Architecture in Slovenia, Croatia and Serbia at the beginning of the 21st
century
, its coordinator being Ivan Kucina. To this block, which highlights local
and regional situation encountered by the architects, Project Zagreb: Transition
as Condition, Strategy, Practice
(authors: Eve Blau and Ivan Rupnik), is thematically adjacent, as well as lectures by Aljoša Dekleva and Tina Rupnik (dekleva gregorič architects), a lecture by Ivan Rašković under the title of Balkan Effect: the File of Cases and presentation ACXY and BIG of Young Architects’ Club.

Netherlands in Belgrade represents another thematic block of the 2008
Architecture Week. Within it, one of the world’s leading consulting companies
- the KCAP Architect & Planners from Netherlands is presented through an
exhibition and a lecture, then Mirjana Milanović with her lecture under the title
of New Residential Architecture of Amsterdam: Public–Private Spatial Relations and exhibition entitled the Project IJburg, Jurgen van der Ploeg, representative of the Dutch firm FARO Architekten, Ana Džokić and Marc Neelen (STEALTH.unlimited) and a traveling debate of the Netherlands Architecture Institute (NAI).

The exhibition of one of the most important architects of 20th century, architect
Carlo Scarpa, represents a separate segment of Architecture Week, which has a historical character and is entitled the Drawings by Carlo Scarpa for the Venice Biennale: Architecture and Designs (1948–1968), the Castelvecchio Museum and the Brion Monumental Complex – as well as a lecture under the title of Museography of Carlo Scarpa.

Within a block dedicated to local topics, Cultural Heritage Preservation Institute
of Belgrade is presented through the exhibition titled the Endangered Cultural
Heritage;
Aleksandar Stjepanović will, through a panel discussion dedicated to
New Belgrade, mark its sixtieth anniversary by conversing with builders of New
Belgrade.
